LoveUSS: Frequently Asked Questions

LoveUSS is a private place to bring a real relationship and see it clearly. It is built on one idea: before anyone hears your words, they are already asking three questions — Do you see me? Are you for me? Am I safe with you? Understanding, support, and security. Get those right and most of the rest takes care of itself.

Below are the questions people actually ask before they try it. The answers are honest, including the parts that are limits rather than features. If you want the full teaching first, start with The LoveUSS Framework, then come back here.

The short version

LoveUSS takes a situation you are living through — the argument that will not end, the friend who went quiet, the teenager who slams doors — and reads it back to you through the three Perspectives. It does not tell you who is right. It shows you which of the three questions is sitting at zero, and what closing that gap would actually look like in your hands, not just in your head.

It is a tool for seeing, and then for doing. The framework calls that seeing "the Awareness": the scan everyone runs unconsciously, picked up on purpose and turned around to read the other person instead of only yourself.

What is LoveUSS?

LoveUSS is a relationship guide built on the LoveUSS Framework by Jonathan Duhon. You describe a real situation with a partner, child, friend, or family member, and three Perspectives — understanding, support, and security — read it back to you. The goal is not a verdict on who is right. The goal is to show you which Perspective is missing and what to do about it this week.

How does LoveUSS actually work?

You bring one situation in plain words. LoveUSS runs it through the three channels every person scans on: Do you see me (understanding)? Are you for me (support)? Am I safe with you (security)? It locates which channel is reading zero, because a zero in even one is felt as a zero everywhere, and then it hands you concrete moves — the second question to ask, the task to take over, the promise to keep — sized to the relationship you named.

Is LoveUSS therapy?

No. LoveUSS is not therapy, counseling, or medical or mental-health care, and it is not a substitute for a licensed professional. It is a teaching-and-reflection tool grounded in one framework about how love works. Therapy treats a person; LoveUSS helps you read an exchange. If you are dealing with abuse, self-harm, or a mental-health crisis, please contact a licensed professional or your local emergency services.

What are the three Perspectives?

Understanding is love as knowing — being seen instead of merely looked at; it lives in the mind and sounds like "I know who you are." Support is love as action — showing up, taking over the task, absorbing a cost; it lives in the hands and sounds like "I am for you." Security is love as safety — kept promises, a steady temper, honesty; it lives in the body and sounds like "You are safe with me." Together they are what love is.

Why does a missing Perspective matter so much?

Because the three do not add; they multiply. Understanding times support times security equals love, and a zero anywhere is a zero everywhere. That is why two abundant Perspectives can still leave a person starving, and why every missing Perspective mints a counterfeit — intensity without safety, being known but never helped, faithful provision handed to a stranger who wears your name. LoveUSS is mostly the work of finding your zero.

How is this different from generic AI advice?

Generic advice answers the surface question — should I text back, who apologizes first. The Perspectives answer underneath it. They are generated by Pensy AI, our own AI infrastructure, which draws on leading language models but holds every answer to one framework. It treats every message as data on the three channels and every conversation as an exchange that left a balance of trust or debt. Instead of a tone-matched opinion, you get the same lens applied consistently: which Perspective moved, what it cost, and what your words are becoming inside the other person over time.

Is my data private?

Your situations are yours. LoveUSS is designed so you can think through the most tender parts of a relationship without that becoming public. Nothing is shown to anyone else unless you explicitly choose to share a specific read with someone in your corner — and you can revoke that at any time. We do not sell your relationship details, and you can review what you have shared. Treat it the way the framework treats security itself: built from kept promises, not slogans. Read the current privacy policy for the specific, up-to-date terms.

Is it free, and what does it cost?

You can start for free and learn the framework and try a real situation without paying. Deeper or ongoing use may sit behind a paid plan; the current pricing is listed on the site so it is never a surprise. The framework itself is free wherever you find it — The LoveUSS Framework page teaches the whole thing at no cost.

Can teenagers use LoveUSS?

No — LoveUSS is for adults 18 and over, and the app asks your age before your first read. The framework does say the recording is strongest where the cement is wettest, in children and teenagers, which is exactly why the guide about them is written for the adults raising them rather than for the teenager. LoveUSS is also not a crisis service and not a replacement for a trusted adult or professional: a teen in danger, or thinking about self-harm, should talk to a parent, a school counselor, or an emergency line, not an app.

What is the Awareness?

Awareness is the discipline of the framework: the scan that everyone runs unconsciously and only on themselves, made conscious and turned around. Most people feel unseen, unhelped, or unsafe without ever naming which. Awareness names it — and reads the other person’s three channels too, not just your own. It also turns inward: self-love is not a mood, it is the three Perspectives self-supplied. LoveUSS is a way to practice the Awareness on your real life.

Does LoveUSS tell me who is right in an argument?

No, and that is deliberate. The framework holds that there is no neutral conversation — every exchange either adds trust or creates debt — but "who won" is the wrong question. LoveUSS helps you settle accounts honestly instead of winning them. It points you toward the six sentences that close any account cleanly, including the hard ones: "I made a mistake," "I cannot do that," "I will follow through."

Who is Jonathan Duhon?

Jonathan Duhon is the author of the LoveUSS Framework — the idea that understanding, support, and security are not three features of good relationships but the single lens through which people experience everything between them. LoveUSS is the framework put to work on the relationships you are actually in. His voice runs through every page here: concrete, warm, and more interested in what you do than what you say.

Can LoveUSS help with any relationship?

Yes, because it is one lens for every room. A marriage is ten thousand answers to the three questions; a childhood is the first draft of those answers; a friendship is the same answers volunteered without obligation. The framework does not change per relationship — only the room does. There are dedicated guides for partners, children and teens, and friends, each applying the same three Perspectives to that relationship.

How quickly does it work?

The seeing can be immediate — the body prices safety in seconds and understanding can land in a single exchange. The building is slower. Trust is a running balance, and authoring a new inner voice inside someone is slow work by design. LoveUSS is built for both speeds: a clear read today, and a direction you can keep walking for months.
